Setelah itu, rombongan tersebut mendadak berkunjung ke Kantor Bea Cukai Tanjung Priok. Kunjungan tanpa diagendakan terlebih dahulu tersebut dicurigai banyak pihak. "Pembelokan [kunjungan] ini diduga dilakukan oleh Aziz sebagai pemimpin rombongan," ujar Apung.

Pada kunjungan tersebut Aziz menanyakan soal tertahannya dua kontainer milik PT Anugrah Karya Utama.. "Dia diduga melindungi penyelundupan [peti kemas] tersebut," katanya.

Apung menilai kunjungan ke Tanjung Priok tersebut melanggar kode etik DPR. "Karena melakukan inspeksi terhadap mitra yang bukan bidang komisi," ujarnya.

Selain itu, anggota DPR tersebut juga dinilai telah melanggar kode etik DPR RI Nomor : 16/DPR RI/2004-2005 pasal 14.
