Symantec: 80% Spam Emails In The World Is

There was a big fraud against websites which use the language outside of English.

If the world economy that mrupakan known acronym BRIC stands for Brazil, Russia, India, and China. Four countries are also a growing market leader. The same holds true also in the trend growth of spam. In a report last Spam & Phishing Report, four countries had also become the market leader.
"We know BRIC is a leader of developing countries and shows a remarkable economic growth," said a spokesman for Symantec, as quoted by Info Security Magazine, March 28, 2011. "The country is also showing rapid growth in broadband Internet," he said.
The growth in broadband usage makes these countries vulnerable to a botnet, a network of infected computers.
"Evidently, during the month of February, Symantec noted that the volume of spam daily average rose to 8.7 percent," said a spokesman for Symantec. "The increase in average daily spam is the first that occurred since August 2010," he said.
Overall, Symantec noted, spam accounts for 80.65 percent of all email in February. Compare with previous month reaching 79.55 percent. However, the trend has been estimated previously.
In addition to increasing the amount of spam, last month there is also an increasing number of phishing, exactly reached 38.56 percent. "The increase in phishing is particularly so in some sectors such as the use of automated toolkits and unique domain," says Symantec.
For information, the number of phishing websites (fraud) made with the toolkit automatically increased by approximately 50.33 percent. Phishing website with unique URL rose 33.73 percent. As for malicious websites that use the IP domain (the figures) fell by 47.22 percent.
From the report also revealed that there was a significant jump in the number of phishing sites that use the language outside the UK. The figure reached 76.51 percent. Among non-phishing sites in English, site in Portuguese, French, and Spanish are the majority.
