The condition of the digital divide Indonesia still better than India.

Although known as one of the countries with the largest number of mobile users, India is a country that turned out to include a digital divide in the world.

From the latest research conducted by the firm MapleCroft, India even declared a state which has the worst levels of inequality among the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India, and China.

As quoted from the site Pluggd.in, among the BRIC countries, India is a country that has the highest level of digital divide, which was in 39th position. Meanwhile, the Russian who was in a position to-134, Brazil (110), and China (103), are the countries included in the category of 'medium risk' or intermediate risk.

To determine the index of a country's digital divide, this study is to calculate some indicators that include the number of mobile and broadband subscribers, fixed telephone network (fixed), the number of computer users PC and TV, internet users and a secure Internet servers, Internet bandwidth, secondary education, and illiteracy rate.

This research puts the Netherlands as the best country in terms of access to telematics to occupy the position-186. After that, followed by Denmark (185), Luxembourg (184), and the United Kingdom (182).

Meanwhile, although MapleCroft Indonesia does not release ratings on the list that the digital divide, however, the index map of the world's information it releases, shows that the digital divide in Indonesia is still better than India.

In these maps, the sign legend Indonesia categorized orange or high risk (high risk), together with the position of the Philippines or Thailand. While India is red or fall into the category of extreme risk, aka extreme risk.

Meanwhile, Malaysia has better conditions for belonging in the medium risk group (young orange-yellow color).
