Last season, Mercedes and Renault have difficulty to compete with teams like Red Bull, Ferrari and McLaren. Nico Rosberg became the best racer Mercedes in the final standings with seven positions, while Michael Schumacher has only been in position nine.
Meanwhile, Robert Kubica Renault just put in eighth position. Other Renault driver, Vitaly Petrov stranded at position 13.
Despite having trouble last season, Webber believes Mercedes and Renault remains a major threat to Red Bull. According to Webber, Mercedes and Renault have done many repairs and looks ready when melakoni test yesterday.
Although many people who sponsor Red Bull and Ferrari, the drivers from Australia are confident Mercedes and Renault also have the same chance to win the F1 2011.
"I think Renault and Mercedes are also fast. They are not only complementary, they do a good job during the test. They are very experienced. We'll see what they could champion this year," said Webber, as reported by ninemsn, Thursday, March 24, 2011.
"They showed good reliability during the test, so there's no reason bagia they are unable to compete with Red Bull, McLaren and Ferrari,"added Webber.
F1 2011 will begin this weekend. Australian GP to be the series opener following the cancellation of the Bahrain GP.
